How has RGI and Samantha’s Gift of Hope changed your lives?

While we have not yet had success, RGI and Samantha’s Gift of Hope has changed our lives by giving us “light” in our journey. Before this, we had so much uncertainty and pain about our treatment and our future. Being a part of Samantha’s Gift of Hope provides comfort in knowing that we have a path to success.

What made you and your partner decide to seek help for infertility?

After two years of trying to conceive naturally without success, we scheduled our first appointment at another provider. We should have planned that visit sooner, but we were scared.

How did you decide on RGI?

RGI was not our first choice. We had a year of failed treatment with another clinic. We were facing the reality that IVF was our next step, but we were having a hard time with the idea of spending that kind of money when no one could tell us why we were experiencing infertility, to begin with. We were afraid that we would spend the money and have nothing left and no baby afterward. At a work meeting, someone mentioned they had heard of a clinic opening an office in Cleveland with a 100% guarantee. This person did not know what I was going through at the time, but it sent our life on a trajectory that led us here today. After our first consultation with RGI and a few tests, Dr. Masseellal gave us the answer we were looking for. RGI gave us answers and explained why all those months of Clomid and IUIs failed at the other clinic and why IVF should be successful. After a few tests, we were told our infertility is unexplained and that we would have a high chance of success with some of their treatment options. We spent the next year undergoing a series of 1 polypectomy, four Clomid cycles, and 4 IUIs. All of which failed.

How did Samantha’s Gift of Hope provide support/comfort during IVF?

While the idea of the 100% Guaranteed Plan offered comfort, when we saw the reality of the cost (double a single IVF cycle), there was no way we could have afforded it. We were right back where we started, looking at a single IVF cycle but terrified that our investment would not be successful. Samantha’s Gift of Hope was a dream come true; it was the first piece of good news we received after several years of infertility. While we have not yet been successful, we find comfort in knowing that we are in a program that allows us to keep going.
