How has RGI and Samantha’s Gift of Hope changed your lives?

There is no way for me to muster the words to express how much RGI and SGH have changed our lives. As I fill out this questionnaire I am technically five days pregnant. Me! Pregnant! I have never been able to say those words in life. Without RGI and SGH I do not believe that we would be pregnant. They have given us more than we have ever wished and hoped for. We still encounter moments of pure shock that this is actually happening to us. RGI and SGH have not only changed our lives but they have changed the lives of our families. Being able to finally bring a child into this world and give our parents the grandchild they have longed for is the biggest blessing of our entire lives. RGI/SGH has restored the faith we have in life and in our relationship. It has been so long since we have felt hope and relief. Our official pregnancy test is scheduled for 08/08 and it is all thanks to RGI and SGH, and we are forever grateful.

What made you and your partner decide to seek help for infertility?

For years my partner and I have struggled with infertility which has mentally and emotionally drained us. We wanted nothing more than to become parents and start our family. Our efforts were tremendous but unsuccessful but we made a promise that we would set a date in which we would seek professional help. This commitment we made to each other and the baby we wanted so bad gave us a piece of our hope back.

How did you decide on RGI?

My partner and I completed a lot of research before deciding on RGI, but when we knew we totally knew! The patient testimonials were so full of everything we were looking for within a fertility team. The more research we did the more we fell in love with Dr. Maseelall and we just had to have her apart of our journey. We never expected to need let alone be a part of Samantha’s Gift of Hope but came across the story while researching RGI. I thought it was such a beautiful commitment that the Kauligs trusted RGI so much that they created the foundation. This increased our desire to become patients at RGI. We knew these were the doctors and the community we wanted a part of our journey to become parents.

How did Samantha’s Gift of Hope provide support/comfort during IVF?

SGH has provided so much more than comfort and support, and this journey would not be possible without them. IVF has been something we have dreamt of since our failed IUI cycles but it has felt financially unattainable. SGH has provided us with the ability to embark on this beautiful journey to build our family. I truly don’t know where we would be in our journey had it not been for SGH, and for that we are forever grateful. Aside from absorbing the financial burden of IVF, SGH has provided us with an honest support system. Lisa has been in my shoes and understand the toll IVF takes on you as a woman, and having her support and kindness makes this journey that much more beautiful. I truly believe that she cares about us as people and wants this baby as much as we do. Having her in our corner and knowing that she wants to be involved in all of the updates and steps of this process is such a blessing.
